Phone Conversation
(A couple charged with sacrificing a parent in order to become vampires)
Hi Mom it’s me, I need you to come visit us in Redfall for awhile.
I need you to stay here for a few days.
Everything’s okay, but… I’m going to have some foot surgery and they say I can’t walk for a week. I’m going to need lots of hep with the kids.
Yeah, something to do with the bones in my foot.
As soon as possible. I’m in pain now. So, the sooner the better.
Awesome! Yeah, if Ronny wants to come that would be cool.
No, the surgery is minor. It’s not serious. I won’t even be in the hospital overnight. Don’t worry.
Okay. Yeah. Don’t worry.
Tuesday? Perfect.
Thank you so much. Okay. I’ll see you then.
I love you too.

She’s coming with her boyfriend. Get the room ready. And be careful, he used to be a boxer. He’ll put up a fight.

Wedding Day
(A man talks to his friend about his fiancé's odd behavior)
I don’t know if Kelly’s getting cold feet about our wedding, but it sure seems like it.
A few weeks ago, she was obsessing over every little detail, and she tried on every dress in the shop. All of them. Now she stays out late and avoids me when I ask what she’s been up to. I spotted her in town yesterday and I was about to go say hi when she went in the dress store again. I didn’t go in because, like, it’s bad luck to see the dress before the wedding, right? I parked and waited for her to come out, but she stayed in there forever. A couple of other women went in, but nobody was leaving. I gave her a call to see what was up, but she wouldn’t answer. Believe it or not, I was getting scared. It must have been around 10:00 that night before all of them left the shop at the same time. It’s like they have a book club from hell in there or something
